Stagehand, a multi-platform visualization tool for real estate by 3 Space Lab, launched in Q2 of 2024 with an online file management and upload portal for complex 3D assets. This launch also saw the deployment of a new UI design system, a rebranding effort.

During the process of handing off high fidelity artifacts to engineering, the company initiated a positional pivot that largely reoriented immediate scope of Stagehand Portal.
In response to this, I worked directly with the company’s CMO, CEO, and Director of Technology to highlight core junctures in past design iterations to efficiently restructure the design strategy into a serialized release, minimizing rework and allowing the design team to effectively respond to a core reorientation.
Prior to the Stagehand Portal launch, the company initiated a major brand overhaul. For the design team, this meant creating an entirely new design system and set of standards, spanning color palettes with improved accessibility, a custom family of glyphs that read consistently across mixed reality mediums, and streamlined component structures in Figma.
The brand overhaul offered the design team the opportunity to consolidate redundant component structures and massively reduce bulk, as illustrated in the comparison of a subset of the original design system (left) and its streamlined update (below).
